Arkansas Engagement Photographer | Alexis and Jon Sneak-Peek

DISCLAIMER: We’re gonna have a little fun with this one. But, right off the bat, my apologies to Gnomes, The Beatles, people with inner-ear disorders, farmers everywhere, Grant Wood, and Stan Lee. Leave us a comment if you want to see more stuff like this. Or if you don’t. Either way, why don’t you leave us a comment?

Now, on to the show…
————————————————————————————————–

I’m a bit behind on editing, to say the least, but I wanted to Jon and Alexis a quick sneak-peek of their engagement sessions from a couple weeks ago.

First, meet Alexis…j-a_engagement-facesofalexis
Then, Jon…j-a_engagement-facesofjon

They’re pretty funny. And they can shrink on command…j-a_engagement_im-shrinking

…and multiply…j-a_engagement_0189-91-93-pano-web

But they don’t have very good balance…j-a_engagement-fallen

…which made them give up their dreams of becoming farmers (I hear balance is very important when working around heavy machinery)…j-a_engagement_0173bw

As I understand it, they were very sad to give up their pitchfork and farmhousej-a_engagement_0072

But while Alexis still mourns the loss of her fledgling agricultural career, Jon now believes he has been bitten by a radioactive arachnid which gave him super powers…j-a_engagement_spiderjon

So whaddaya think? Like it, Love it, Hate it? Leave us a comment below and let us know.
A serious post will probably follow this one soon, so check back often!
Thanks!

Ft Smith AR Engagement Photographer | Cody & Ashleigh Part II

As promised, we’re back today with another installment of  ‘Cody + Ashleigh’. As you can see, we pretty much went everywhere for their session. I think when I was going through all the images I counted 19 distinctly different locations. CRAZY!! Anyway, can’t wait to shoot their wedding that is quickly creeping up! Without further ado, part deux…

so this last one’s a little different. I must however say that I really like it. For some reason it seems a little Urban Outfitters-esque/’modern awkward fashion’ to me. I like the contrast - kinda like ‘trashy fashion’… or let’s say the Fashion vs. the Trashin’ (of the location that is, which we had nothing to do with…)

Even though she had a separated shoulder, it didn’t keep these two from having an awesome engagement session. And we found some new locations that I’ll probably be using in the future. These two had so much fun at their session, there were just too many great images to choose from. So we’ll do two posts. Leave ‘em some love in the comment section below! See ya tomorrow for part two…

Fort Smith, AR Wedding Photographer | Michael & Ashley

A little over a week ago Michael & Ashley tied the knot. We decided that we wouldn’t put any images up until after they got back from their honeymoon so they wouldn’t be the last to see them. So now that they’re back here’s their preview… Leave ‘em some love in the comment section below!

the ladies actually left their dresses hanging like this, no staging needed from the photographer (and gotta love the paint job of their dressing room!!)

We stole the newlyweds away for a couple of minutes to get just a few portraits; but keep an eye out in a couple of weeks for their “Day After” shoot…

Fort Smith AR Engagement Photographer | Robby & Jackie…part 2

So now we present part 2 of Robby and Jackie’s freezing cold engagement session. (Part 1 is here)
After freezing their …ahem, we drove across Ft Smith for some more outdoorsy photos. Probably not your typical engagement photos, but I wanted to try something different. Maybe edgy, maybe modern, maybe just strange, but something out of the ordinary.  Especially the contrast of the dilapidation and the dress clothes Jackie and Robby were sporting. It finally started getting dark (I’d been waiting not so patiently for dusk to finally come), so we broke out the big ol’ softbox and went to work. Aside from wanting to get some great images in the style I love to shoot, I also have been wanting to work with our flashes more outdoors. And since our new softbox showed up the day before the shoot, the timing for trying it out was perfect. But I digress, on to the images…

I’ll say it again, the first senior (or junior) to book their senior session with us that mentions this blog post will get a discount… not saying what, you’ll have to book to see what it is. Oh, and since I’ll be trying some new stuff, that means there will be more images to choose from and your session might go longer than normal (at no additional cost of course) - but hey, it’s another bonus, right?
And just for the sake of…well, just because, I’ll also extend that offer to couples. Mention this blog post and get a discount!
