I recently drove up to Fayetteville to do some 8 month portraits for little man Jayce. I got there a little early and walked around Dickson street for awhile looking for some new places to shoot. I found a pretty awesome little area with a lot of vines and stone work and a even a little koi pond - all in the middle of a parking lot! I’d lived in Fayetteville for over 5 years and never even knew about the place though I had walked past it countless times. When Jayce and his mom showed up, he had just fallen asleep so he was a bit dazed. Cute, but hard to get a smile from. We eventually got some, but they took some work. After that, we went to a slightly more urban landscape and you can tell by the face he was making, he wasn’t as fond of the scenery…

Maybe you remember this little guy from his newborn photos. He’s now three months old so mom & dad wanted some new pics. Despite it being crazy crowded at the park, and having far more direct sunlight light than I expected (silly ice storm taking out all the trees…), I think the photos turned out great. They sure do grow up too fast!!

We went up to Fayetteville (where Liz hopes to attend) to shoot the second part of her senior session. We went all around campus and then headed down Dickson St. for some places neither of us had ever been before. We found both some great backdrops, and some kinda strange ones. It was fun to challenge myself by not always shooting in the same old places and trying to make something look great that might otherwise look mundane (like a dark parking garage… can you tell which one that is?)
Here’s a few of our faves…

Remember these two from their firehouse engagement shoot? This evening we went up to Fayetteville to get some more ‘traditional’ engagement shots. After walking around the campus for awhile, we went down to Dickson St for a few more frames before it got too cold. (fall is definitely here!) Can’t wait to shoot your wedding, March will be here before you know it!!mashley_0177amashley_0007mashley_0194mashley_0241bmashley_0005mashley_0135bmashley_0066mashley_0188mashley_0107bmashley_0130mashley_0079mashley_0103mashley_0076mashley_0177bmashley_0071c
