And when I say little, I mean not. Well, sure, little compared to you or I, but at 9 pounds and 2 ounces, she’s a pretty big girl. Or as her daddy said,
‘She came out a toddler.’
However big she is, she sure is cute.

August 6, 2010I recently drove up to Fayetteville to do some 8 month portraits for little man Jayce. I got there a little early and walked around Dickson street for awhile looking for some new places to shoot. I found a pretty awesome little area with a lot of vines and stone work and a even a little koi pond - all in the middle of a parking lot! I’d lived in Fayetteville for over 5 years and never even knew about the place though I had walked past it countless times. When Jayce and his mom showed up, he had just fallen asleep so he was a bit dazed. Cute, but hard to get a smile from. We eventually got some, but they took some work. After that, we went to a slightly more urban landscape and you can tell by the face he was making, he wasn’t as fond of the scenery…

Like from North Carolina!! Well, maybe they were visiting someone in Bella Vista, but we’re gonna pretend anyway.
This little lady was perfectly at home in front of the camera. It usually takes a little while for young children to warm up to the camera, but not this little lady! From the first shot on, they were almost all keepers. The first picture below is only the second shot of the session - and already a smile. By the end of the session, she had me holding her hand as we walked back to the cars. She sure is a friendly (and cute) little thing! And though her brother slept for the first half of the session, when he woke up he was a happy little dude, despite the crazy muggy heat we had. L family it was nice meeting you and I hope I can photograph these two little cuties again sometime. Enjoy…

June 27, 2010I’ve photographed this great family multiple times now. And after a rain cancellation (that ended up being a beautiful day after the measly 5 minute downpour) we were able to reschedule and the day turned out great. Luckily we scheduled it before all this 100 degree 99% humidity stuff got into full swing. Anyway, on to the pics…
