Fort Smith AR Engagement Photographer | Robby & Jackie…part 1

So we’ll start with the first half of Robby & Jackie’s Fort Smith Engagement session, and tomorrow we’ll finish it up with the second half.

For this shoot I was going for a more high-end fashion look and I like love how they turned out. Of course it helps when your models are dressed so well… And when they don’t show how cold they were (like wind chill of 35 degrees or something…frigid!). Congratulations on your engagement and look forward to shooting your wedding in May.

Anyway, this is the kind of shoot I love doing: creative, different, fashionable… so make sure to give us a call if this kind of shoot would interest you too! It would also work very, very well for a senior. In fact, the first senior (or their parent) to mention they saw this and want a shoot like it will get a discount. ‘Cause I’ve got some more things I want to try…

Fort Smith Military Photographer | Thunderbolts to Lightning

Back in November I was privileged enough to be asked to photograph Major Jay Spohn’s last flight in the A-10 Thunderbolt (Warthog) here at the 188th. He was the only pilot chosen from the Air National Guard to fly the new F35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter. He will be one of the 12 pilots to fly in the program’s initial cadre. He will *only* get to fly F-15C Eagles’s until the F35’s are delivered later this year. There are more articles on the web here if you’d like to read further. If you check this article, there’s even a picture of me ‘in action’.

And a great big Thank You to Joel of Joel Culberson Photography for letting me rent his 5D Mk ii while mine was in the shop. I shot with our backup original 5D also, but man, if it would’ve been the only camera I had, I wouldn’t have gotten half the shots I did.

And an even bigger THANK YOU to all our service men and women who help keep our nation strong and safe. Thank you for what you do!!

Muskogee Wedding Photographer | Chrystal & Adrian

Normally, we like to get client’s images done in about 1-2 weeks… Well, if you take out the week we were gone and the week we were all sick, we’re right on track… sorry about the delay…

Chrystal and Adrian got married on September 12th in Muskogee, OK. It was a drizzly day but a beautiful ceremony and reception none-the-less. Congratulations on your big day!!

Tulsa Bridal Photographer | Chrystal, the full preview

-

So it’s been a few days, but here is the rest of Chrystal’s Tulsa bridal session. We started at a park for some more traditional bridal shots, then went downtown to get some of that urban edge that we enjoy so much. Hopefully Chrystal will want to do a Trash The Dress session after the wedding so we can get some really grungy urban shots…:)
Check back in about three-to-four weeks for Chrystal and Adrian’s wedding preview.

Tulsa Bridal Photographer | A quick Bridal Preview

We met Chrystal in Tulsa this afternoon for an awesome bridal shoot. And since her hubby-to-be isn’t a blog stalker, she said to put the pics up on the site. So here’s a quick sneak peek…chrystal_0300

Wedding Stuff

Filed under: studio news, urban, wedding — AJ @ 10:21 am

So it’s finally cooling off a bit (if only temporarily) and the fall/winter wedding season is coming up. There’s a twitter feed we found that belongs to www.twitter.com/ProjectWedding that has some great tips for brides planning their big day. Recently there was an article with wedding-planner-for-the-stars, Mindy Weiss about some recent trends and tips.  There was one comment in particular that we couldn’t agree with more…

PW: Where should you not cut corners?

Mindy: Photography. That is my favorite thing right now! That’s the only thing you can take with you and it’s the only thing left after the wedding. If that sucks … you won’t want to look at your memories. You will look at your photos and go, “I hate these pictures. I should have spent the money.”

How true, How true.
You can read the rest of the article here.

Later…
