Maybe you remember this little guy from his newborn photos. He’s now three months old so mom & dad wanted some new pics. Despite it being crazy crowded at the park, and having far more direct sunlight light than I expected (silly ice storm taking out all the trees…), I think the photos turned out great. They sure do grow up too fast!!

and because it’s still one of my favorite newborn images I’ve ever captured, here he is as a wee little man…

Just wanted to put a few of these  from yesterday up on the blog before I head out the door towards Northwest Arkansas to do a Fayetteville baby photography session. This momma is being deployed on Monday and wanted to get some family pics before she left. Please keep her and all the other service men and women in your prayers.

p.s.
in the military or a veteran? First, thank you. Second, ask for your military discount when you book your session.

I just realized that I missed one of the images that was supposed to go up from Robby & Jackie’s engagement photo session. It should have gone in Part 2 but somehow it got overlooked. Instead of putting it in the post after the fact, I’ll just give it it’s own post. Why not, right? Enjoy!

and what-the-hey, let’s just put up another one that didn’t make it onto the other posts either, for whatever reason… (oh yeah, cuz we like to leave a few surprises for the final gallery. oh well, there’s still more where these came from)

So now we present part 2 of Robby and Jackie’s freezing cold engagement session. (Part 1 is here)
After freezing their …ahem, we drove across Ft Smith for some more outdoorsy photos. Probably not your typical engagement photos, but I wanted to try something different. Maybe edgy, maybe modern, maybe just strange, but something out of the ordinary.  Especially the contrast of the dilapidation and the dress clothes Jackie and Robby were sporting. It finally started getting dark (I’d been waiting not so patiently for dusk to finally come), so we broke out the big ol’ softbox and went to work. Aside from wanting to get some great images in the style I love to shoot, I also have been wanting to work with our flashes more outdoors. And since our new softbox showed up the day before the shoot, the timing for trying it out was perfect. But I digress, on to the images…

I’ll say it again, the first senior (or junior) to book their senior session with us that mentions this blog post will get a discount… not saying what, you’ll have to book to see what it is. Oh, and since I’ll be trying some new stuff, that means there will be more images to choose from and your session might go longer than normal (at no additional cost of course) - but hey, it’s another bonus, right?
And just for the sake of…well, just because, I’ll also extend that offer to couples. Mention this blog post and get a discount!

So we’ll start with the first half of Robby & Jackie’s Fort Smith Engagement session, and tomorrow we’ll finish it up with the second half.

For this shoot I was going for a more high-end fashion look and I like love how they turned out. Of course it helps when your models are dressed so well… And when they don’t show how cold they were (like wind chill of 35 degrees or something…frigid!). Congratulations on your engagement and look forward to shooting your wedding in May.

Anyway, this is the kind of shoot I love doing: creative, different, fashionable… so make sure to give us a call if this kind of shoot would interest you too! It would also work very, very well for a senior. In fact, the first senior (or their parent) to mention they saw this and want a shoot like it will get a discount. ‘Cause I’ve got some more things I want to try…

Today, we shot Robby and Jackie’s Engagement Portraits. This is just a little tease. More soon…
