Tiffany has been emailing us for a while now telling us that she wanted us to do her maternity and newborn pics. Cool, right? Well, they live in Kentucky.
Yeah.
So when they were here visiting family, we of course had to do her maternity pics.
Now if we can just figure out a route faster than 14 hours for when the baby is born…
I went up to Fayetteville about a week ago to get some sweet little newborn shots of little Mr. Jayce. He was a bit early, and we had quite the time scheduling around the Thanksgiving plans and such, but it all worked out well in the end. When I left Fort Smith it was all sunny and nice (natural window-light is awesome for newborn portraits). Of course when I got to Fayetteville, it was another story. While I don’t normally like doing newborn shoots using studio lights, I must say that I liked the results, especially the dramatic quality of the shots with mom and dad. And check out little man in the santa hat at the top of the blog, he’s the second image as it cycles through.
I love it when babies make eye contact…

OK, so just added it up and since the beginning of October, we’ve had 28 sessions (and 3 more in the next 4 days). So if it’s taking a while to get your gallery up, well, we’re almost caught up.
***Christmas Orders***
If you’ve already had your access to your gallery for a week or more, and you’re wanting your pictures/cards back in time for Christmas without having to pay extra for a rush shipment, we need your orders (and payments) by Saturday, December 5th.
Happy Thanksgiving and be careful out there on Black Friday. Try not to get trampled scrambling for that 75″ Flat Panel TV for $20!!
And since we like to have at least one picture per post (being a photography blog and all…), here are a few previews of our most recent sessions.
We’re still going strong with sessions lined up to the end of November. If anyone is still wanting to get some pics in time for Christmas, you better hurry up and give us a call!! And for those of you still waiting on your galleries, thank you for your patience. We’re getting caught up…slowly. Now, back to bizness.
This family has been trying to book a session with us for a while now. When they were finally free of their crazy busy schedules for day, we met up to get some great fall pics. Aren’t these two kids just so adorable? It was quite a fun shoot… And you gotta love that great golden fall evening light!!

The Canon 5D Mk II is an awesome camera, and though we’ll miss it dearly while it’s getting fixed (stupid shutter, *error 30*), the original 5D is still capable of capturing great images. It’s no wonder the 5D Mk II took so long to come out, it’s hard to top such a great camera. If it weren’t for the slower processor, smaller resolution and screen, we *might* not have upgraded. Nah, 21.1 megapixels and 1080p video from an SLR is friggin’ awesome!!
(the 5D Mk II crapped out on me, luckily, right at the end of this shoot. And of course I had just taken 5D out of the bag the day before, thinking there was no reason to keep lugging it around…)
First things first… If you know these people, you never saw these photos, okay? Okay!
In case you were wondering what on earth that was about… I met up with this awesome family in secret. Real hush-hush. These pictures are for their parents on Christmas and they want it to be a surprise. Pretty cool gift, IMO.

Seriously, these guys were awesome. Funny. Stylish. Easy to photograph. You know, all the good stuff. It was great meeting you all, hope your ‘rents like them!!
