Here’s a few from my Sallisaw newborn photo session today (I guess technically yesterday since it’s 245 am). This little guy was one of a very limited number of newborns that actually slept through the *entire* session. He was asleep when I got there and asleep when I left. That’s not to say he didn’t fuss at me a few times for disturbing his sleep… Oh well, he got back at me, or should I say my blanket, in the end. Oh newborns, how cute - but very messy - you are.

Arkansas/Kentucky Baby Photographer | No Thanks…
March 18, 2010I think that’s what little Aleah was trying to tell us when I showed up for her photo session today.
Her parents were in town a while back from Kentucky and had a maternity shoot (one of my favorites to this day - the colors and light were awesome).
Unfortunately, they weren’t able to make it back here while Aleah was still a newborn, but still wanted some photos when they did make it back to Fort Smith. I will say that at 8 weeks old, she definitely knows what she likes and doesn’t like. Apparently photography sessions fall in the latter category.
In between the occasional 5 minute cat-naps and the feeding and the fussing, I was actually able to capture this little cutie giving a big ol’ smile to both mom and dad.
Now, a few favorites…
ps.
that tutu, it was originally her mom’s…
As in I almost missed the chance to blog these before this little one makes his entrance… it’ll be tomorrow if he sticks to the schedule. Good luck!!
Maybe you remember this little guy from his newborn photos. He’s now three months old so mom & dad wanted some new pics. Despite it being crazy crowded at the park, and having far more direct sunlight light than I expected (silly ice storm taking out all the trees…), I think the photos turned out great. They sure do grow up too fast!!
and because it’s still one of my favorite newborn images I’ve ever captured, here he is as a wee little man…
Fort Smith Family Photographer | A quick few
March 4, 2010Just wanted to put a few of theseĀ from yesterday up on the blog before I head out the door towards Northwest Arkansas to do a Fayetteville baby photography session. This momma is being deployed on Monday and wanted to get some family pics before she left. Please keep her and all the other service men and women in your prayers.
p.s.
in the military or a veteran? First, thank you. Second, ask for your military discount when you book your session.
This cute little guy was our first Newborn Photo session of the year. I think it was a great way to start off too! He slept great… until he got hungry, then he was wide-eyed until he and his parents left (even after eating). It’s been a while since I’ve been able to do some natural light newborn photos, but man, now I remember why they beat flash any day of the week! Congratulations on your new little bundle of joy, he’s adorable.
on to the reason you’re here..

I love it when they make eye contact!
