Here’s just a quick little preview of a little lady we shot a little over a week ago. Check back tomorrow to see some more!

Clarksville Family Photographer | So not the best day for pictures…
…but after these two families drove all the way from Clarksville, it wasn’t like we were gonna tell ‘em to just come back another time.
So we found a bridge and for the second time in a week, I pulled out the ol’ speedlight and umbrella and went to work trying to get some great photographs despite the conditions.
Everyone was a trooper, except maybe for the little guy. It was cold, windy, rainy and he’s only four months old. Not a happy baby that day. But who could blame him, it was cold, windy and rainy.
Anyway, it was nice meeting you all, and come back next year when the weather’s nicer and we’ll go to some more locations!!
Enjoy…

Fort Smith Photographer | And a future Ft Smith Photographer also…
We haven’t posted in a few days since we’ve been crazy busy trying to get all the galleries done in time for Christmas delivery. So here’s a just a couple pics of our two little ones…

gotta start ‘em early… No easy auto mode on that thing, it’s all manual.
(of course the picture before this one had him looking through the lens to take the picture. But hey, he’s only 2)

Fort Smith Family Photographer | Committed
We’re so committed to this whole photography thing that we even did a session on Thanksgiving Day! They may have been family… but still!
Anyway, we tried to start outside, but as they live on top of a mountain, it was a bit breezy and chilly. Hair was blowing like crazy and eyes were tearing up faster than a Razorback fan’s after that last field goal attempt. So we moved it inside in front of the tree. Normally, as the gecko says, that would be easy-peasy, lemon-squeezy with our big lights. But I only had one small flash… Turns out the same situation would happen again later in the week. In the end it all worked out thanks to the tutelage of this man (beware: photo geek link). .

and this would be M1’s serious face (all their names start with ‘M’)…

and this would be M2’s serious face…

and finally, M3’s…

Kentucky Maternity Photographer | Sooo far away…
Tiffany has been emailing us for a while now telling us that she wanted us to do her maternity and newborn pics. Cool, right? Well, they live in Kentucky.
Yeah.
So when they were here visiting family, we of course had to do her maternity pics.
Now if we can just figure out a route faster than 14 hours for when the baby is born…

Fayetteville Newborn Photographer | Little Man Jayce
I went up to Fayetteville about a week ago to get some sweet little newborn shots of little Mr. Jayce. He was a bit early, and we had quite the time scheduling around the Thanksgiving plans and such, but it all worked out well in the end. When I left Fort Smith it was all sunny and nice (natural window-light is awesome for newborn portraits). Of course when I got to Fayetteville, it was another story. While I don’t normally like doing newborn shoots using studio lights, I must say that I liked the results, especially the dramatic quality of the shots with mom and dad. And check out little man in the santa hat at the top of the blog, he’s the second image as it cycles through.
I love it when babies make eye contact…

love how dramatic the light looks here…

p.s.
Mom & Dad, there are more in your gallery that are in color, my faves just happened to be almost entirely in b&w. Thank you for welcoming me in to your home. It was great meeting you and your new little man!
