Fort Smith Family Photographer | Sophie & Brady

Filed under: baby, children, family, urban — Tags: , — AJ @ 1:32 am

We met up with Sophie & Brady (and their ‘rents) downtown last week to get some good ol’ family photos. It was a bit cool before we got there, but right as we stepped out of the car, it got really cold. Thank you Arkansas river.
Anyway, it made for some cute little rosy-red cheeks on the kids. Gotta love the way their momma dresses them too. Sophie did well right up till the end, until we tried to see if she could model a pettiskirt for us from Baby Chic Boutique. I guess it was just too cold for another change of clothes. (Even the bribe of a candy cane had no effect…)

Ft Smith Child Photographer | A little preview

Filed under: baby, children, urban — Tags: , — AJ @ 5:14 pm

So it’s crazy busy around here (not complaining) from all the last minute Christmas orders. So I’m just gonna put up a quick preview with a couple of pics with more to come later.
Enjoy…

Oklahoma Newborn Photographer | Little Lady Frasier…

Last week I was able to go over to Oklahoma (my home state, btw) to photograph this cute little newborn. Of course it had been all sunshiny and bright right up till I got there. Let me tell you, my lights have been getting a workout recently (as have  my slowly growing lighting skills).  Anyway, after setting up all my assorted stuff (and rearranging and cluttering up the formerly spotless living room) little Frasier was ready to be photographed. At the 3-days-old mark Mom & Dad agree she probably won’t be a model. She wasn’t fond of me moving her around much. And she let me know the best way she could… let’s just say that’s why everything we use is washable and the washing machine is always empty before I leave the house for a newborn session! Dirty blankets or not, future model or not, she sure is a cutie! Congrats Mom and Dad and thanks for letting me mess up your home for a few hours  :)

Now, on with the pics…

from my experience photographing newbies, while incredibly cute, this face usually means it’s about time for a new diaper… luckily, at this point she had one on, unlike later…

Clients are always asking us what they need to wear. Well, if you have young children, that answer just got a whole lot easier! Check out the new trendy Baby Chic Boutique on Dodson Ave in Ft. Smith.
Just walk into the store and pretty much anything you see would be awesome in a photo. Christal, the owner, is very talented and friendly and is always working on new products (she makes a bunch of the stuff she sells) , so check back often. And don’t forget to tell her we sent you!!!

Here are some outfits we found when we went the other day…

Fort Smith Photographer | Not-so-happy camper

Little Lily was about to have her first birthday, so her mom wanted to make sure she got some good portraits to remember her at this age. Unfortunately, she decided to skip her nap and fell asleep right as mom pulled up to start the session. I tried silly voices, sounds, jumping around… I even tried bribing with *pretty pictures* (business cards) and candy. But it turned out that if mom wasn’t holding her, she wasn’t happy. Oh well, it’s obvious that even without a big ol’ smile, she’s still super cute…lily_0001blily_0007lily_0012clily_0018blily_0071lily_0081lily_0087lily_0096blily_0146lily_0109blily_0142lily_0169

It’s 50 minutes later than I’d hoped (it’s now early Saturday morning), but I finally got all of Savannah’s preview up here on the blog. And here she is in all her cuteness…
